Adult hockey: leagues, drop-in, and pickup
Adult leagues. Beer league. Drop-in. Pickup. Planned where southwest Austin actually lives and works.
Why this page exists
Adult players south and west of the river routinely stack late nights and weekend miles just to get ice time. A twin-sheet community complex in the Bee Cave / Lake Travis corridor is intended to anchor league play, drop-in, and pickup without treating the commute as part of the hobby.
Where adult players get ice today
Beer league, drop-in, and pickup in the Austin area generally book ice at north-metro facilities such as Chaparral Ice, Ice & Field at The Crossover, and The Pond Hockey Club. Youth schedules through the Austin Metro Hockey Association (AMHA) often consume prime evening blocks - another reason southwest Austin needs its own twin-sheet capacity.
What we are planning
We are planning tiered divisions (A / B / C framing) and predictable weekly windows for league and drop-in. Roster caps, pricing, and season calendars are not published here - sign up to be notified as the operating plan firms up.
Grounded in data and proven models
Outreach and planning draw on regional demographic context and feasibility analysis informed by NHL-affiliated municipal-rink precedent, without implying any specific operating partner, site, or timeline. Details evolve as feasibility work continues.
